No Ashlee Simpson is not only Jessica's sister, no Ashlee Simpson is not the dumb blond we saw in "7th Heaven". She's not only Pete "I'm-the-most-popular-of-all-fall-out-boy" Wentz's wife. She's also a singer.

Bittersweet World is Ashlee Simpson-Wentz's new album and the first observation: the cover is ugly. Ashlee watching us like a junkie ready to jump over us to go give our money to the dealer at the first street corner. Second observation: I was a little reluctant to press play when i realized that, once again, like Madonna, like Justin, as for Nelly, as for Mr. Pokora, Timbaland is a major part of this album.

The album starts with the very addictive "Outta My Head", where Ashlee plays the martyr card. She sings about the horrors of being a celebrity with a clip that looks like it was made under the infulence of LSD, where Ashlee eventually end up in an asylum chased by photographers .

There's also  "Rule Breaker" and "Ragdoll", and the pop-rock "Little Miss Obsessive," but we quickly forget the very boring "Never Dream Alone" where Ashlee is the victim of the Britney Spears syndrome: "I must absolutely prove that I have a beautiful voice even if everyone believes the opposite ".

It has to be mentionned that Ashlee has to deal with major obstacles : She's blonde, she has a sister 's name is Jessica Simpson (aka as looser), she started in the business in a crappy television show, she's hated by millions of girls, and she's worked with the least original producer of the moment. Although the album is good, Ashlee sings well, and you can practically forget the sound of Timbaland. Finally, maybe that's where the real miracle lies.
